Matisse - Icarus Metal Bookmark

At the end of his life, Matisse began to “carve with color,” using scissors to cut colored pieces of paper. The result was spectacular for its intensity and the mood it evoked. In his artwork, Icarus (the fictional man of Greek legend who falls to earth), Matisse captures that moment of triumph/disaster where Icarus has reached his apogee.
