Frank Lloyd Wright April Showers Ornament

In 1927, Frank Lloyd Wright designed a series of lively geometric abstractions for covers based on seasonal themes for Liberty magazine.
This image for the April cover is an abstract version of springtime rain. The lively combination of squares on a 45-degree angle and the repetitive pattern of circles at the intersections were possibly inspired by Japanese prints Wright collected.
