The landscape of Arizona influenced Frank Lloyd Wright's designs. The saguaro cactus with its massive arms and barrel trunk becomes an element for play in his unrealized artwork for a LIBERTY magazine cover, "Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers," 1927.
