Buddhist Halo Of Flames Pendant

This Buddhist halo was made during the Asuka period (538 to 710 AD) in Japan. During this time Buddhism was introduced from China. Unlike Christian halos, the halo surrounding holy or sacred people in Buddhism may take the form of flames.
