Willow Leaf In Fall Earrings

Native Americans relied on the leaves and bark of willow trees for temporary pain relief.  A synthetic version of the naturally-occurring sialic acid was created in 1879 and called Aspirin. As fast-growing, moisture-loving trees willows are used to stabilize soil and provide habitat for wildlife.
