Crested Dwarf Iris Earrings

This complex flower has three blue-purple petals as a standard above three unique petal-like sepals. On each sepal is a yellow crest which leads pollinating insects toward the nectar hidden deep in the flower. The Crested Dwarf Iris can be found in rich, moist, open woods and trailside.
