Rose Symbolism Earrings
This product is currently sold out.
In the classical era, the rose was identified with the goddess of love Aphrodite (Greek name) and Venus (Roman Name). In Rome a wild rose would be placed on the door of a room where secret matters were discussed. Thus the phrase sub rosa or “under the rose” which means to keep a secret. These Rose earrings were inspired by the Rose and Teardrop, a fabric design produced in 1923 by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the Scottish architect, designer, water colorist and artist.ERS5708
