Manet's The Cats' Rendezvous Two-Piece Metal Bookmark This bookmark was inspired by The Cats' Rendezvous (1868), a lithograph by Edouard Manet (1832 - 1883, one of the foremost French artists of the 19th century. Considered by some the father of modern painting, Manet was a pivotal figure in the transition from realism to impressionism.
