Water Dragon Kozuka Metal Bookmark

This bookmark is inspired by a Kozuk knife handle. During the peaceful Edo period, designs became more elaborate, like this three-clawed dragon. A Japanese myth states that the dragon was native to Japan and was fond of traveling. It gained claws the further away it walked—four claws in Korea, five claws in China. However, contrary to Japanese belief, the three-clawed dragons also originated in China.
